Department Head - Organ
Jonah Eisen is the chair of the keyboard studies division for the College of. Eisen holds a doctorate of musical arts degree from the University of Michigan where he was a student of Ronald Horowitz. His bachelor's and master's degrees are from Iowa. During this time, he was awarded the Prix d'Excellence and the Prix de Virtuosité. Upon completion of his doctorate, Eisen accepted the post of organist and choirmaster. While there, he studied organ with Marie-Madeleine Duruflé.
He has appeared as a recitalist and lecturer throughout Europe and the United States. His recent recording of Franck and Guilmant has been released on CD. He co-founded the French Organ Institute in France.
